Agree, to be a true off roader the pipes need repositioning.

Yeah from an off road protection point of view the headers need moved to the side but also from a pannier point of view, that pipe will eat up half a case

Don't like that low pipe much. My Bultaco Frontera Enduro of the late 70s had a low pipe like that. Its so exposed for any off-road bits and really gets peppered with stones coming off the wheels. And as for that backlight mounted on the top of the seat, looks very vulnerable. Hopefully a massive baseplate will be added to protect that oil filter and the front header pipes. The critical bits will be the overall weight and off course price.

The problem that I see is that the MT07 engine has a sump that protrudes down about 50 mm. The current pipes run alongside this in the MT07 range. They are using a wet sump engine which makes it bulky underneath and a oil filter at the front. The weight will be quite high up.
