Chain adjustment datum point..
 

I know correct chain adjustment can cause all sorts of problems for people and the most referenced way of doing it is to find the datum point using the 'drop the dog bones' and measure/straight line approach.

My question is....is this datum point not the same for all bikes AND could this be applied to all bikes?..
