Update on Avon Trekrider's. ..

http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...psufapwgoz.jpg Having done about 800 miles on the Trekrider's I'm very pleased with them. Most of those miles have been on the road, and rain or shine they have been brilliant. Off road use has been limited to farm tracks.. hard packed clay and chalk. They seem to track and grip well and are certainly more competent off road than my previous Distanzia's . Standing on the pegs the back moved around in a happy controlled way...whereas on the Distanzia's it would slip and slide with little control. I'm not expecting them to be great off road ...but they are fine for my level and volume of green laning and are proving to be the perfect all round tyre for me! Steve

Great to hear the tyres are doing well in all aspects so far, whilst the chances of getting to go off road are slim, I'm still really considering these as the new rubber.
Has to be the best route home you have there.

Nice way to clear the mind after a hard days slog buddy.

I'm sure you will be happy with them.....I've just put another 1700 miles on mine in the last week and they have been brilliant. From loaded up on the motorway at 80 mph. ...to endless twisty lanes around West Cork and Kerry they always felt great . Thoroughly recommend them! Steve

Lovely part of Ireland, actually hard to find a not so lovely part of Ireland expect for a lot of the towns and cities.
Glad to hear the rubber held up well and you are still very happy with them.
Have you had any experience in the cold and wet with them?

My mate and I put these on both our R's a few months ago..transformed the bikes...stick like snot to a blanket!

I am very pleased with these tires so far. I have only ridden them for maybe 6 hours, mostly on tarmac, but so far they feel very grippy, and handles very well.
