Wheel bearings
 

Hey just wanted to ask about wheel bearings getting a set of new tires soon and the bearings haven't been change by me ever so to give myself peace of mind I'm going to change them

Was going to get them from Wemoto but wondered if the OTR ones were any better ?

You can just buy them from your local bearing shop. With some SKF you can't go wrong. The bearing number is printed on the race

You could even try some of our local supplies like brt in mallusk,rdr on raven hill road and advocet in bangor.

I normally try a stick with the the bigger names as mentioned skf,koyo, nsk.

Rear Wheel

Hub bearings : 6203-2RS
Sprocket carrier: 6304-2RS

Seals:
23 x 40 x 7 disc side rear.
30 x 52 x 7 on the sprocket carrier.

Front Wheel

The fronts are also 6203-2RS and two 23x40x7 seals.

How easy are they to remove / fit? are we talking fly press or just knock them in with a socket? i'd like to change mine but its something I have no experience of.

They are quite easy to remove using a long punch / drift.
Some times it is difficult to get started because there is a tube between the two bearings and there is not a lot of space for the drift to hit the bearing.

I have uses a anchor bolt in the past. get one that is almost the same size as the inner diameter as the bearing. snug it up so it is a nice tight fit in the bearing now you can just hit it straight through. works great

you may have to shorten the bolt because you will smash the threat's and you wont get it out of the bearing anymore.
