XT660r Shock Link Length?

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and very new to the XT660R (very new to riding full stop...), so I'm sorry if this isn't the correct section of the forums to put this.

I bought my 660R about a month and a half ago, been a blast to ride but its jsut a bit too tall for me, I can get the pad of my foot to the ground, and get a foot flat but only if I'm sitting with only half my ass.

It looks like the previous owner had installed custom links to raise the bike, I'm not surprised he was about 6'10". At the moment i'm looking into either lowering links or putting the stock dog-bones back on.

So I have three questions/requests.

Could someone measure up the hole distance on the stock dog-bone links for me?
And has anyone installed lowering links, has any advice, or recommendations?

And lastly, because they're a pretty simple part, has anyone tried their hand at making your own suspension links?

I have one here from an xtz and could measure it's pitch but looks like it's different to the R model.

See I'm not too sure yet whether I will need the lowering links yet or just the standard link.
