I keep my bikes years so don't tend to keep an eye on prices all that often but recently been looking and noticed how prices have started to stiffen up,bought my 07 in 2009 and not fetching much less than what I paid 7 years ago.

I have noticed in general that most good, clean used bikes up to 10 years old seem to be holding their value well, not just XTs. I suspect that this may be due to the fact that things like Euro IV regulations, compulsory ABS and MOT emissions testing (for new bikes) beginning on the first of January next year may be steering people towards slightly older and less complex machinery?
