New fuel pump...

So my fuel pump has leak somewhere in the housing so it
returns the fuel back to the tank.. low pressure at the injector..

Yamaha want $830 NZ for a new pump.. can only buy it as a
complete unit..
I done a internet search and found a new pump housing for
$81US... " or so I thought " It turned up today.. when I picked up the box
the first thing I notice was how heavy it is for a bit of plastic...
Opened the box.... and there it was a Complete pump...
housing / pump / pressure releif the whole ball of wax...
a complete plug & play unit for $81US "$130NZ"
It did cost $50US to ship it... totaled $183NZ... way better
than Yamaha's prise of $830NZ...

It dose not seem to be a copy of the yamaha unit.. looks to be
the real macoy made by Denso in Japan...right down to the sticker & part numbers...

Nice to know mate, Thanks. Great find. Dazza (in NZ) could do with that after the problems he's had trying to get one.

thanks Pete
I've been wary of using that site but not any lOngar.
the waiting times for delivery are what I've become used to shopping online in NZ

Just as a matter of interest, does the fuel pump seem to start playing up with a certain amount of mileage or time ?

I don't think so mine has 40,000km on it..
my pump died so i replaced it ' just the pump..
but ever since it has had a leak somewhere

what killed it or helped was running the fuel
level to low the pump needs to be under fuel to cool it
when yer fuel light comes on full up...
