Tom's XT660X Motard.
 

Hi there,
my name is Tom and i'm from the Netherlands.
recently bought myself an xt660x.

had my license for 2 months and drove a fazer fzs600.
it has 95hp , but i couldnt get used to the bike.

i always had a weakness for supermotards , so when i saw the xt660x i wanted it!

it's equipped with the full akrapovic's system and a stage 2 airbox.
the gearing is lighter so it only makes 140kmh at top.
im going to change the gearing so it will reach 190kmh.
the only reason for that is to drop the rpm's at freeway speed.


Update!
installed new fork spring in the front with more preload on them. feels way better!
got new set of tyres and went a weekend to germany, now i can scrape my footpegs!
changed the sprockets to original. and last but not least:

installed a fuel mod, with a resistor, then did a dyno run. 56HP/70NM against 48HP/54NM original.
pretty good after 12 years.

great looking bike, when I see them I want to have one to go with my XTZ. Is the photo near where you live, I have family in Oirschot and im sure I have cycled near the photo. Enjoy the bike.

I like the akra's, when you put full trothle on it and then close it, it spit flames out of both exhausts. (10 cm)

Installed a fuel mod , works the same way 'kev' mod does.
i checked the temperature in my diagnostic menu, and im able to drop it 25 degrees.

tested a few times, and the best result is at 6 degrees less then the actual temperature.

i was curious if the bike was shooting flames , because when i change gear or rev pretty good it makes popping sound.

so i made a video ( only got the screenshot to upload)
