Ride to Work 2 (London)

Had to go to London today. Amazing, no congestion charge and ALL DAY parking for 1! I kid you not. Came out of my meeting and there parked next to me was my bikes twin. Lovely. Even the drizzle next to the Thames didn't spoil it for me.

Bike is looking well. Funny to come across another, and with a cut down screen

Bike looks great against the London backdrop.....hope you had a good lock on it!. Steve

Not as nice as your commute I know. Yes I carted my ball and chain along, just in case. 130 miles round trip today. Sadly tower bridge was closed, I was looking forward to driving over it, I so love doing that. The high seat did a sterling job.

There's something I must try , riding in London. Although the parking looks extremely close!..

Nothing to it. Urban jungle

As Jacques says... nothing to it. The hardest thing is avoiding your bike going AWOL when it is parked. Go heavily armed with some decent security.

Great pic's Jacques. I've been up & down that road many a time loaded with shop fitting gear or building materials before in my white van man days. But never did it on the bike. I'd probably got very lost there now.
I think that little green bike was finding your Tenere a bit intimidating & trying not to make eye contact!!!!

Jacques - I have to say, you could have made the effort to lock the steering the same way as all the other bikes in the row; you make it look so untidy! ;)

https://youtu.be/m4wQ-8x_2ys Bit boring. ...but you can see how excellent the Tenere is in London! Steve

I will give it a go sometime soon.. definitely heavily armed with lock and chains!..

Jacques le Roux 03-11-16 22:52

Just down the road for you Jo. Would be a waste not to.

Signs you want to be looking for in London, when you want to park (only 1 per day). How's that view of the London Eye and just a short walk to Big Ben. How lucky can you be?

I had lunch on the bench just behind my bike with this fantastic view.
