Lifting the bike

Hi everyone! First of all i am new to this forum. My name i Dan, from Norway and just got a 2008 Xt660X with only 10.000km on it.

That was a quick introduction, so to my question. Unfotunately my left fork is leaking oil, and quite a bit too actually. So i need to sort this out and then the issue of lifting my bike from the floor comes. I have a motorcycle jack thet lifts the entire bike on the frame, but as you all know the exhaust pipes runs under the engine on the 660. Can i lift the bike on the exhaust pipes under the engine? I see that it is a mounting under the bike where the pipes are connected to the bike, but i am not sure if the exhaust is strong enough to support the entire bike?

what i have done on a coulpe road bikes with full fairings...
is put the front wheel up on blocks.... tie the handle bars
to the shed roof.... then push the blocks out... they
hang there quite happly.....
