New - from New Zealand
Hi all, I'm Jade from NZ I just wanted to pop on here and make my arrival known :)
Also I was going to add a pic of my XT but the insert image icon seems to want a web addy? is there no way to just add a pic from my pc? Also I have a stage 2 hot cam on the way does anyone know of a raptor cam for sale that I can rob the decomp bits out of? And finally has anyone tried to run the XT without the decomp will the starter struggle to turn the motor over? Cheers, Jade |

Hi Jade and welcombe.
Photobucket is easy for photo posting on forums. |

The Raptor motor has a completely different decompression mechanism to that on the XTs so the parts aren't interchangeable. You have to run one or the other.[/QUOTE]
Yes I am aware of that thank you. Hot cams only make a cam for the raptor motor so I need the decomp bits from a stock raptor cam to fit to my hot cam. Also I have discovered that the YFM700 grizzly farm quad also runs the same decomp assembly as the raptor. |
Welcome
Hi Jade,
Welcome to the forum. There is specialist tech assistance inside the supporters area if you would like the extra level of involvement on the forum. I used it when I was setting up my '05 X. Well worth it. Would you post a thread showing us your cam mod progress? Be good to see it evolve. I live on Aucklands North Shore, Beach Haven. There are few 660s around. Mostly commuters but a few get used in anger. I have twin two brothers on mine, DNA 1&2, fuel mod, AIS and airbox mods. Makes a good difference over stock, keep us in the loop. Marcus |
I have taken your advice and become a paying member and stated a stage 2 hotcam thread in the general section :)

A little late but..
Hello and welcome. I'm just down the road from you in Blenheim, let us know if you feel like meeting up. The guys and I are usually out most weekends on our bikes. |
Hi there, I took the XT over to blen last weekend with the misses on the back, went down queen charlotte sounds way on the way over, caught up to a guy riding a WR450 covered in mud on the way back. Was a good day trip :)
