Painting a clear screen.
I was ridding my bike last night and trying to imagine it with a solid (painted) screen. I like the look but I'm unsure if loosing the view of the road immediately in front of the bike is a problem.
Anyone ridden a 660 Tenere like this ? I've painted my BMW R1100GS screen and it's fine, but it is a lot lower. :102: |
Assuming you aren't a dwarf, you're always looking over the stock screen on the Tenere. A painted screen will be fine. Speaking from experience, you get a better and more hard-wearing finish if you use vinyl wrap rather than paint on screens.

Good idea.
I'm 6'6", so definitely not a short arse. lol. |

Painted this in peel-paint as I wasn't sure how I would go and wanted something easy to remove if needed. Three or so years later it still looks perfect with heaps of abuse, washing and even pressure wash on occasion. Love it, wouldn't change it and will do it again if I ever need but it's hanging in well for peel-paint. Painted the inside of course. |
Thanks all, I may just paint my spare screen white (on the rider side) and see how it looks. I'll post a pic. when done.
Cheers. |
Paint the inside, mine's lasted really well.
