Like winning the lottery. 2 hours rain on the first day then sunshine for 2 weeks!

photos look amazing, count me in next time or if you need another brother. one question how do you get all your camping stuff etc in that bag.

Jacques le Roux 18-07-16 23:11

Hope Wales were good. Yes its amazing what you can get in that bag (Wolfman). I camped every night for 2 weeks with what you see on that bike. The only cheat was that I only made hot drinks and never cooked meals. The main compartment had my 2 man tent, camping cot and sleeping bag, pillow and blanket. The side pockets had food and bits for hot drinks, camping stove etc. My lockable back box had maps, camera, electrical parafanalia, spare gloves, 2 sets of locks and my waterproof trousers. I decided traveling light is the answer, so 1 pair of jeans, 3 t-shirts and 4 pairs of socks. Not easy but survived. I wouldn't change much if I did it again. After 14000 miles I'm still on the original chain and sprocket and battery. I did lube the chain every morning if I remembered. I also did an oil change and new tyres before starting off. The Tenere never missed a beat.

Back home after 2 weeks and 1400 more miles on the clock.

Your wearing the traveller's beard well Jacque! , is it a permanent addition. ..? Steve

Jacques le Roux 18-07-16 23:46

Sadly not. My missus said it needed to go

micron_Ed 18-07-16 23:59

That's an excellent way to travel Jac, I think I carried more gear for one night but then I did take a shaver. I used some sports pannier which I was given sometime ago but they are such a faff to load up think will just stick to dry bags next time. I would show the views from my Wales ride but struggling with putting photos on here. Pleasing when the bike does what you want it to.
