       Tenere Mileage

       Hi Guys,
I was wondering how far I can go when the reserve indicator starts flashing. The tank is 23 litres. I can travel about 230 miles before the reserve starts flashing. If I refill the tank as soon as the reserve flashes I manage to put 16 litres in the tank. That means that I should still have 7 litres in the tank whenever the reserve flashes. Therefore I should be able to travel for another 100 miles. So all in all I can rely on my tenere for over 300 miles before I need to refill again. Do I make sense? Do you agree? Thanks Pleiades... of course it depends on how you use your bike but I needed to figure out an average it is painful :dentist: when you are out of petrol in the middle of nowhere

You're already realizing how much the F-Trip lies to you!
On mine, it starts flashing and I fill it up with... Yep, you guessed it... 16 litres. You have between 60 to 100 miles on the reserve. Use it wisely! |

Motorway and headwinds can get down to 55mpg. I average 60 to 72mpg if I am bumbling through the Yorkshire dales I have got up to 286 miles before the indicator starts flashing. Depends what speed you are going to maintain on reserve.

I have my fuel filler neck drilled to gain another litre or so. 400kms would be a good distance for me to get whilst on the lookout for fuel.

I took my pump out. Bent the bubble level down. Little I get to 360 miles before I Gill up. And tested I get 80 miles to what's left on reserve
