Ballintoy harbour - Game of Thrones

Found this lovely little harbour while doing the Causeway Coastal Route in Northern Island. One of the locations used for Game of Thrones.

Very nice! I want to ship my bike over and ride around UK! Such rich history!

Face palm!

Anyway.. It does look beautiful there in IRELAND!

One of these days I'll get over there...

Awesome environment, awesome bike, awesome weather! You've got it all!

Glad I can share it. Here is the long sandy beach just before the harbour and the ruin of Dunseverick Castle (actually just the gate house). The road snakes along the coast with lovely corners and dry stone walls to keep you in.

All without crowds of people, fantastic Jacques. My folks are in the throws of selling up in Kent & moving up to Hartlepool where my Dad is from. So next time I'm over to visit them Scotland will be a a lot closer to see.

Wonderful part of the world go every year and have done since 96 for the NW200, normally have stayed B+B but this year rented a house in Bushmills.

What can I say, don't think twice just go. This is where we camped just outside Portrush (it was 2 weeks after the NW200). The road you see behind in the first picture is part of the NW200 track and someone died a bit further down on the friday race. The second picture is inside the walled garden where we camped. Absolute bargain at 7 per night with amazing biker friendly hosts.

The previous evening at the same spot on the way for a few beers while watching the sun going down over the sea. They were most welcoming considering our humble attire, strong south african accent and not the cleanest in the room.
