Hi,

Does anybody know a product I could use to easily clean burned oil on the part of the left exhaust link pipe that is located under the chain ?

Thanks in advance

dry Ajax powder works welll, rub it in with a dry cloth then just wipe it off with a damp cloth. wax on wax off style :brain: :038: :038: :038:

I have been using a metal cleaner but am a bit tired of the wax on wax off style but it seems it is the only way. No magic burned oil remover ? :D

I finally found a kind of "magic" product. It is steel wool soaked in some kind of soap from AJAX

In Spain this product is called "AJAX Brillo" http://www.colgate.es/products/house...re/pads.shtml#
but I do not seem to find its equivalent in UK (it is for cleaning pans and such)

The best thing is the soap that soaks the steel wool seems to get the burned oil off so easily that you only need to rub very gently. I haven't noticed any scratches on the pipe.

I also managed to make the bash plate clean again without any efford

This product does exist in the UK and it is by the same name. Its a good product but go easy with it.
