newb in london restoring old 93 3yf

Afternoon all, i'm a member of the hilux pickup owners club after iwning my 89 pickup for the last 10 years so can work my way around a forum. Had pocket rockets all my adult life and now living in london i wanted a sit up bike. Ended up buying a project xtz660 thats been standing for a few years due to a fault.
Just started the tear down and the decompressor on the cam sprocket snapped off and dropped into engine. Had the fun of removing magneto earlier to get the debris out. Now i need to find a new complete sprocket. Any ideas??

You will not go wrong with a Toyota I have had a Hilux surf since 1999 its now 17 years old only 190,000 miles and still looks immaculate and runs like a watch its a 3 litre diesel. The brother in laws 1990 Landcruiser 4.2 litre has now covered 250,000 miles and still going strong.

:006: Welcome to the forum mate.

It's probably worth pointing out that XT660.com its content are primarily geared up to cater for post 2004 4-valve fuel injected XTs. Of course veryone and anyone's welcome here, whatever they ride, but all the same, it might be worth your while popping over and having a look at www.tenere.co.uk.

I used to have a 3YF myself back in the day. Fond memories. Never had a Hi-Lux though, I'm a Land Rover man! ;)
