13 Teneres at Ace Cafe
 

I counted 13 Tenere's some old some new at the Adventure Day today. Good food, dry day and very good company. Lovely to meet up with so many friends. Interesting new CB500 twin conversion by rally raid and the white Tenere with a YZ 425 front end and firefox back suspension.

Cant believe how wide those Beemers with side boxes are. My Tenere is so skinny compared to the German tanks.

The price you pay for having your playground in the mountains. I'd gladly swap. Most of these bikes are just weekend posers

Nice to see you all had a good day out. The March event at the Ace seems to be a jinxed for me - I'm always bl00dy ill! 2014 tonsillitis, last year the flu, this year the squits... I wonder what next March's offering will be?

I had a great morning there, good to meet some friendly XT owners unlike the bmw's who I struggled to get to acknowledge me at hanger lane on the way there. First ride of any distance for me on my XT recently purchased, buzzing when I got home and not just from the vibration. Good to see you all. Like the photo of my bike Jac.

Ed your bike is a thing of great beauty and you got a real bargain. That bike must have some wonderful stories on its travels far and wide.

thanks for the bike compliments Jac, work in progress and fun to ride is the main thing. I have to be careful not going to far with the work or it will end up like my other bikes which I just want to polish. I want to get in touch with the old owner to try and find out the history or stories of its travels, in the mean time best we sort out some of our own travels.

I did it purely for saving weight (it was a very good price too).
It was fine till this week when it suddenly got much louder. Not sure why yet.
I may be wrong, but the Vinces seemed to give me more power.

Do you have a removable baffle ?..if you have is it still there.The only reason I ask is mine got louder,I stopped to investigate and realised I had lost the baffle,just a thought..

The thought crossed my mind. The allen key holding it is still there, so I expect it is. I was wondering wether it has some type of sheet wrapped substance wrapped around the the baffle like the old two strokes used to have. I'll take it out over the weekend and have a proper look.
