Although it had been taped and plugged I thought I'd give it a thorough clean in case any grit from the grit blasting had found its way into the bearings, etc. As I sprayed away I realised instead of Brake cleaner I was using Carb cleaner. The result was great streaks and runs of discolouring all over my lovely swing arm......I'm such an idiot.....
