Bye bye XTX
 

I had a test ride on an MT07 last year. I really wanted to like it but after 30 mins or so I felt it was too small and cramped for me.
Getting back on the XTX was a relief, but I'm sure someone had jammed my brakes on while I was on the test ride, it felt so slow.

Roll on a few months and I saw a picture of the XSR700. Same engine, slightly higher seat and higher bars. Looked OK in a quirky way, but not pretty.
Then my local dealer got a green and silver one in, they look way better in the flesh.
A couple of weeks later they had a demo ready in yellow with the Yamaha speed blocks.
Took it out for a couple of hours, came back and ordered one in yellow on the spot.
Should be here within 2 weeks.

I will miss the X, especially the exhaust sound, but I have had it 6 years and time for a change.

I will soon have a pair of CCC Carbon cans and link pipes for sale if anyone is interested.

Good luck with the new bike and by all means, sell all the bits you like in the for sale section.

Just don't be a stranger we have a wide family sense and every member is a mate to us.
