is Haynes manual any better then yamaha service manual?
 

I thinking about getting Haynes online but never seen it, yamaha service manual is useless for me. I hope haynes has more pictures and step by step procedures.

thanks, so do you think it's worthy to get haynes as addition to yamaha service manual or not really? I'm interested in thinks like replacing clutch plates step by steps etc.

TBH, having both is the best bet. Like Pepsi says, the diagrams in the Yamaha Service Manual are very useful. However, the service manual only really tells you what to do; it doesn't tell you how to do it. It's more geared up to people who have experience; it is after all designed for mechanics and dealer service. This is where they Haynes comes into its own as it gives you step by step instruction, and also some insight how to perform tasks without "special" tools, something you definitely don't get in the service manual.

I found the Haynes manual perfect for me , good clear instructions and feel confident I could carry most jobs myself on my bike, read it over and over and soon gets in ya head!, just my opinion..

But I have a Haynes that has all the pages still bound but parted from the card covers if you want it
