Tenere Seat

Just had my stock 2011 Tenere seat re-shaped and re-covered by Viking Seats in Ash, Kent.

I wanted the riders "saddle" flattened off so that it's one height front to back. I'm tall and with the rear suspenders raised it's not a loft perch but a better riding position.

So rather than pay Off the Road 350 get Viking to do it for 100.....if you're nearby they do it while you wait.

I would post pics but it's been such a long time i've forgotten....

Did they increase the seat height or take the hump out? I want my spare seat lowering and the hump removing, is it comfy, did they re foam it for you?

Very interesting. Please show us some pictures of your seat

What they did is add foam to take out the hump so it's flat. First impressions is that you get the feeling of being perched on top of the bike which I like plus I can move around more rather than being locked in one position.

I'll give the pic thing a try. Standby.

Seat question

Has anyone tried to level the seat with the existing cover? Is there enough slack?

jo75 04-02-16 18:59

I levelled mine off,and changed the shape a bit ,makes it easier to move your weight around when off road, but recovered the seat with a new cover...
