Sheffield XT660x Rider!
Hello All ! My Names Alejandro
Bought my First XT660x around two months ago. (2009 Model) My first Super moto And I love it ! I come from a wide range of different Bikes ( Ranging from Ninja 636, BMW K100 RS, Honda CRM 250 AR etc) Absolutely love the low down grunt and easy riding on this bike, But found the Fueling to be a bit poo and sometimes get Shakiness/ Piston slap low really low down ? (Maybe Im not used to the BIG singles ?) Hoping in the next few months to get a Bored out Cylinder (104mm) and forged Piston with slightly bigger Throttle body. Just wanting a slightly more OMPH ( Would love to Aim for around 60 - 65 BHP ), But not sure if I would need a professional remap for this of if a power commander would Suffice? I must do my research :) Plan to come to the 10th anniversary Party if any one is convoying down from Sheffield way ? |

Wow thats a lot of work on that thread !
I don't think I can do quite that much ( not enough Funds nor time as this is my daily commute Bike!) Would love more power over the range, but just want more of a kick so that front wheel lifts a bit more :) Maybe I lust for more Torque .... ? ( More research needed!) |
Hi. Your not far from me then. I use mine for commuting. The parkway Is fun at half 7 on a morning.

And I work near Sheffield Motor point Arena ( near the Parkway!) You don't happen to pass forgemasters in a morning do you ? I sometimes see another XT passing by there :) |
:hello: and :welcome: to :660:
There are ways to to contain and improve the poor low revs performance. Please click on my signature below where it says List of XT Mods... or simply click here: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=630 |

Had a look through these, Think the Boaring is going to be better than getting a Raptor 700 head on it, trying to find a spare Cylinder top end is a nightmare though ! |

Hello & welcome mate. Maybe a slightly lower gearing by increasing the rear sprocket or a smaller front one my help get the front up easier?
Have fun on that super clean machine. |

Yes think Ill be going 1 tooth up at back and 1 down, but do go on motorways too so don't want to change gearing too much :) (was clean, full of road salt atm :P but had a bath in ACF-50, so should be well protected :) ) |
Welcome to the world's best forum! Steve
