Tenere wheel cleaning.

Hi chaps.

The wheels on my Ten are kinda mottled.

I assume the are anodised? Well the black/grey colour has clouding and I want to clean it off.

What's best for that? I don't mind elbow grease but don't want to feck up the finish.

For mine, I don't try to wash it very well.
When you ride off road ... it's dirty again ... and again ... and again.
Sometimes, I wash it very well, polish and place some wax on the tank. It protect it a little bit.

Try some car products like hard shampoo.
I have some Chemical Guys Citrus

Just be wary of using any acid based product on wheels. Citric acid is extremely good at removing zinc plating and stripping protective galvanised surfaces. Your spokes will go rusty even more quickly than they do anyway on XTs! ;)

I have been using Muck Off and Pro Clean for years, thinking it had no salt and wasn't alkaline and then heard that it has salt in it.

Can anyone confirm if it has or not ?

It does work well as a cleaner, maybe that's why !
