Greetings

Hi all
I'm new to the forum and not good with computers, so bear with me.
Bought my xtz in June but have only managed one exploratory trip to France on it since then.
I'm lucky enough to have travelled quite a bit on bikes, into Eastern Europe and down to the Iberian peninsula, with most places inbetween.
I now need to go further and longer, and can't think of a better bike to do this on.
My good lady goes pillion so we will be travelling together a lot of the time. This allows us to enjoy differing food and drink, something we enjoy a lot.
I like to tinker myself (had to when I was a teenager - couldn't afford to pay anyone else)but i'm no master mechanic. Single cylinder simplicity is very appealing.
Hope to see many of you on the road
kind regards
mentira

Welcome and enjoy the XT. Maybe you can give me first hand advice for my 3 weeks trip to the Tatras (next year May)

Many thanks all.
Regarding trips to the east, if you run a tom tom gps I still have some routes saved on my an ient PC which I can send. If you use TYRE software to route plan..I'd be happy to beam them across.
Regards
Mentira

Hi
Thought poland was great from my brief forays into it. Ia berlin and Munich. Both are a three day (for me I travel slowly). Tatras can't comment on as haven't ridden in but looks like you have plenty of time. Be interested to see what you think. Would imagine temperatures still pretty low if you go early May. Wrap up! If you use tom tom gps and tyre route plan software I'm sure I have routes saved to get you to poland if you like.
Enjoy the trip sounds great.
