These arrived today
|
Smart pipes mate. Do they have cats in?
|
Gorgeous them.....are you doing the other mods or just the pipes?
|
Already fitted the DNA filter and both Kev mods, they don't have Cats in, might have to keep the DB killers in though, because they are very loud without them
|
They look great. ..did they fit easily. .? , and is it rude to ask if they are a good price. ..I'm looking at the Scorpion twin system but you've given me a dilemma!! Steve
|
They fitted a treat, came with all the neccecary fittings and springs and the price wasn't too bad, they came from Italy via eBay

Took about a week to arrive and the postage is tracked, frustratingly mine where sat in the depot in Liverpool all weekend I will take some better pics tomorrow when I get it outside |
Thanks, that would be great! Steve

Had a little ride out through N Wales today, bike drives out of bends much better and throttle response feels crisper, I decided to leave the DB killers in as it was a bit loud without, anyhow here are some pics as promised (Steve)

Thanks for pics.. cracking location, Arrow exhausts look great. Steve

Taken at Bethesda, I'm lucky to be less than 100 miles from here, and much more picturesque than a pic of it on my drive :)

I have the O2 mod and Fuel mod as well as Dna filter, the main worry is having the engine run too lean, which is why I fitted them.
Not sure if you would need them with a standard filter and the cans, I'm sure someone on here will know....... ;) |

The O2 Eliminator is a 'plug & play' device that helps smooth things out at low revs, small throttle openings & cruising, regardless of any other modifications. I have both Kev mods, standard foam filter (as the bike gets used in dusty conditions) & Akropovic pipes. I fitted both mods as you get a better deal buying both at the same time & gives me the option of aftermarket air filters later on. If you fit louder cans than standard then it is a good idea to block off the AIS pipe as the back firing on the run off is considerably louder too. (More like a shot gun !) Hope that's as clear as mud, please any one correct me on any of the above but I think it's all about right. |
The only thing I would add to that is do the throttle mod as well. ..it's free and really makes a difference. Steve

Beautiful pipes you have there !
To answer Pepsi's question about the open pipes not covering the area above them which is normally covered by the OEM pipes, I found with my similar Scorpion pipes that the mud and water would get sprayed up and ended up under the seat where it's suppose to be dry. My remedy was to block the gap between the mudguard and the top frame where the gap is with a layer of thin foam. Just cut it and locked it in there View from below: http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...s/IMG_8090.jpg View from above with seat removed: http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...s/IMG_8091.jpg |
I used cardboard wrapped in gaffer tape to plug that hole.
Still perfect 😊 |
Does anyone know what the weight difference between the Arrow's, Scorpion's and the original units is ?
