What new bike?

How about this? :smilies0349: An 09 beastie, completley stock. First ever vehicle on two or four as well!

I wont be doing any performance mods for now (I am a student at York and insurance was 400+ ?!!?) but I will be doing some comfort mods, like a flat seat, some windbreak inside the forks (bird comb), handgaurds and a higher screen. In fact I might just make a thread asking about gaurds compatable with a givi adjustable screen now.....

This website was really useful in choosing the bike, so thanks to you all already:blob10:

:hello: and :welcome: to :660:

You said you're only doing comfort mods for now, but we have a one off chance that you might be interested, and it is a one off!

:006: Welcome on board mate.

Best comfort mod I did was fit one of Kev's O2 Controllers; makes the bike so much more tractable and pleasurable to ride at lower speeds. Less clutch use and gear changing = less fatigue. Technically speaking, it isn't really a performance mod.

Seat and screen mods are a must, as are fitting a set of Grip Puppies and some wider pegs.

Enjoy! :023:

Tempting, it really is, but to make new pipes worth it I understand I would need to remap with a PC or add a kev mod as well as altering the exhaust post-burning system as a result of having no cat. I'll see how my premium goes down in a years time then possibly do some performance mods to push it back up again!

I just don't know if the insurance company would agree though (I will ask when I next phone them) and having been riding for two weeks I don't know how collision prone I am!

Thank for the welcome all, I'm going to pop over to another forum section to quiz you knowledgeable persons on hand-guards and screens!
