Dies then goes, then dies, then goes

Hope someone can offer some help here.
I've a 2009 r done 30k, it will run for 5 minutes and die, I ride it with all the covers off, until I sort this out, so when I stops, I unplug the ECU, plug it back in and it runs like a dream, until the next day, same procedure. Have checked all the obvious things. Hoping someone can help, don't really want to trade it in on a DR

Does disconnecting and reconnecting the battery have the same effect as disconnecting and reconnecting the ECU?

Will give it a try, soon as this bloody rain eases

I think I may have found the cause of the problem, fingers crossed.
Have been researching repairing the ECU, and realised it also does the immobilising, so found the second black key which has never been used, fired her up and had a great trouble free ride for 100km, will try the old key again to see if the problem reappears

Problem solved, gave up and took it to the dealer,
they removed the O2 mod, reset the tps and put a new plug, one step cooler for some reason.
It runs better than I can remember, fingers crossed it stays that way

So you're actually none the wiser... Which one was it: the old plug, the fact the new plug is cooler, the O2 mod, or the TPS setting? Did they change each thing separately and then test, or did they fit them all together? Always best to do one thing at a time.

At least it works now though! ;)
