Kev Mods - are they worth it?

You bet your golden watsits they are!

Had my bike for 18months now and done 2 reasonably testing trips. I know i know i'm a lightweight but gotta pay bills. I installed the kev mods (O2 and fuel mod) then a stage two DNA air filter thing and it's like a new bike.

mines a 2010 with stock exhausts so didn't really have any surging but it had the crazy throttle power jerk when coming down from speed. I was constantly changing gears to get at the power and the popping was a bit barmy.

All smoothed out now. Even acceleration, hardly a pop and no snatchy throttle when coming down from speed.

I don't know what my fuel economy will be like but I never got the 300 miles per tank that some mention anyway.

So all good.

They are both great mods and excellent value, you get a lot of "bang for your buck".

Me neither, I could just about strangle 250-260 miles out of a tank full even when riding like an old granny. What I will say is that the addition of the O2 controller alone did improve my mpg by about 5% over stock. I run a PCV and Stage 3 intake now and I'm back down 10% from where I started in terms of mpg, but the bonus is power is up from 43 to 53 rear wheel hp, which is very noticeable! :D

Hi Daz, well worth doing the throttle mod too, it's free and makes the throttle action so much nicer!.Steve

Mpg improves a lot if you decat the pipe and drill it. Mine went from 55 odd to 60 plus mpg.
