Clutch Switch

Hi All has anyone had trouble with the switch on there clutch lever and if so has anyone just bridged the switch out as I can only start my bike now if it is in neutral.Cheers.

It's a relatively common problem. You can disable the switch so the start inhibit system always thinks the clutch lever is pulled, but just bear in mind that it will obviously then start in gear whilst on the side stand with disastrous consequences!

A new clutch switch isn't that expensive and a five minute job to fit though...

I had the same problem and was able to remove and strip the switch. After cleaning and applying a little silicone grease it cured the problem.

Does anyone know off the top of their head where the clutch switch connects to the loom on the '05 XTX? I got my XT recently but it doesn't have one fitted and I wanted to investigate further before buying a new one.
