1st Trip - John O'Groats

Just thought i'd share a few pics of my first trip on my Tenere. I basically bought the bike just for this trip and ended up loving it so much it stayed.

After a full service by me, a bit of brake work and a couple of additions the bike was ready. So i slung as much gear on it as i thought i'd need, called my pal who'd bought a KTM 950 to come with me and off we went.

Hull to John O'Groats up the east side then across the top and down the west coast and back through the lochs and home. A bit of camping, a lot of riding, a lot of feckin rain and great time.

Great pics! How far is it from John O'Groats to Lands End?

Looks like a great ride...pity about the rain though.

Thanks for sharing. Now I want to go there too

Nice pics.

but how disappointing in JOG... I went there once and felt so let down, I rode all the way back to England (and home) none stop. Couldn't ave done that on any other bike but a Ten.

The sign says 874 but google maps says different! It was supposed to be my next trip to tick both boxes but my pal sold his KTM so i'm going to Ireland instead with my dad on his Triumph XC800. Can't wait.

Yeh there's not exactly much there given that it's one of this country's most famous landmarks. The campsite was good but we had to walk a bit for the nearest pub. A nice view to wake up to though and it was all part of the adventure.

According to Google maps 1350kms 15 hours 2 mins. But that's a direct route straight through via the M1 motorway. You would probably what to skip some of that & scoot through Wales.:thumbsup[1]:

Great pictures. The Ten seems the perfect bike for this type of trip. I cant imagine a finer machine.
