External bar ends on barkbusters - worth it?

Hi all,
anyone added those extra external bar ends on their barkbusters to help reduce vibrations? Mine already have the kit bar ends but it's still quite viby. Be interested to know.

Well, I've got them fitted, but I can't really say whether they make a difference or not because they've been on all the time the Barkbusters have!

I don't suffer from any serious vibration issues so read into that what you will...

I was getting numb fingers with oem handguards without weights at highway speed, switched to bark busters with weights and problem went away, haven't actually tried them without weights though...

I have weights/bark busters/vibenators/ bars packed with sand/
Rox anti vibe risers "gives 2 sets of vibe rubbers"
now I can ride it for more than 30mins without my hands going numb...

I bought the extra weights with my barkbusters. Haven't tried them without but quite happy with them. Recently did 3000km in 4 1/2 days without any grief.

Thanks for the replies. I might order them anyway and give em a go, it can't get any worse. I don't think these bikes were ever designed with motorway travel in mind. I love this bike but the pain i get from motorway cruising is tough to deal with.

Different grips must help, any recommendations?

I've just fitted barkbusters to mine. Firstly, comparing the OEM bar end weights to the stock BB ones you notice how much weightier the OEM ones are.
Just been out for a ride, and the vibrations have increased immensely-might get the additional BB weights...

My XT came with them on so i don't know any difference but your result leads me to think there will be improvement.

I rode with the original Yamaha hand guards for about 20,000 miles.

Within ten minutes of fitting my barkbusters, I was back online ordering the bar end weights.

Yes, you need them.

15,000 miles later and I'm happy!

I have Acerbis handguards on mine, you know, the plastic ones and without bar end weights and I suffer from no vibration at all when riding...I can ride all day without any tingling fingers....only change I have is softer waffle motocross grips on.

Why am I different?..I don't like being different...they all pick on me in the playground...

:)
