Just about there...

Hi all!

I got back into riding at the start of this year after a 6 year lapse. I had sports tourers before and wanted to get into the adventure riding gig after seeing the places my brother was going on his V-Strom.

I bought an '09 KLR650 in January and promptly put a heap of farkles on it, then started smashing out the k's. I've done a few solo trips and have racked up over 10,000 kilometres in 4 months.

Initially I had looked at second hand Tnrs; but since I was new to this type of riding and haven't ridden offroad since I was about 17, I decided to be cautious and only forked out $6k on the KLR instead of $9-10k....

Living 900m above sea level and going from 40c summer days to -10c mid winter mornings, I've really begun to notice the limitations of an old school carby fed bike. So I started looking at EFI bikes and came back full circle to the XT660Z.

A phone call to my local Yammie dealer last week found a brand new discounted 2012 floor stock model with 0km, full warranty and free on-road's. I've optioned:

SW-Motech Bash Plate
SW-Motech Crash Bars
Yamaha Pannier Racks
Yamaha Centre Stand
Touratech High Mudguard
Barkbuster Storms
Givi Touring Screen
Heated Grips
1" Bar Risers
Pivot pegs
Dunlop D605 Front
Mitas E07 Rear

Pick up late next week! :icon_cool:
