Hi from a wet and miserable Cape Town

Hi fellow XT,ers
Just a quick hi and hello from Cape Town South Africa.
I've just recently bought my 2007 XT 660 R ....my 23rd motorcycle if I'm not mistaken, and so far I'm loving it.
I also have a 1999 BMW 1150 GS which is my child , but a slightly overweight child for the technical trails which I like to ride.
My brother bought an XT not so long ago, and I made the big mistake of riding it , well I guess that was the deciding moment and I knew that I had to have one. I sold a 1993 Honda Dominator which I had lurking in my garage and tracked down an immaculate 2007 XT with very low mileage, and I must say, I'm extremely impressed with my new XT.
This is not my first XT, I owned a 1975 XT 500 many many years ago and always remember that bike as being the coolest bike on the block.
So , I'm looking forward to many happy Km in the saddle and to chatting and getting to know you guys on the forum.

Cheers
Brian ...aka The Stones or as some of my friends call me " The Stoned"

Now ...if I can just figure out how to add pictures ........

Hello & enjoy mate. I believe the monkeys can be a bit cheeky & adventurous in your neck of the woods so be careful where you park the bike if you leave the keys in it.

Welcome mate.

Welcome!

And for what it's worth, the weather and surroundings in Cape Town beats the Netherlands any day of the week ;)

Thanks for the welcome DR...Ohhhh yes , the "monkeys" out here are certainly cheeky and adventurous..... no ways in hell I would ever leave my bike unattended with the keys in it , it wouldnt last 5 minutes.

Welcome on here stones. I have traded my native Durbanville and Struisbay for the Berkshire countryside (18 years ago). Both have its own highs and lows. Enjoy that bike, and all the wonderful places it can take you.
