Vin decoder not decoding

I want to find the year of manufacture of my bike. When I use the Yamaha decoder it doesn't work. Basically I want to find out which of Kev's fuelling mods I could/should get.

Cheers

Is the build date not stamped on the VIN plate under the seat?
The top left corner should show the month & year of manufacture.

No date on mine, but I found the year with the Model Label.
Thanks

For future reference (might be useful to others wanting to decode their VIN), the in 1980 the VIN format was standardised worldwide as follows:

Character positions 1, 2, 3 form the world manufacturer identity (WMI)
Character positions 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ,9 are vehicle descriptor section (VDS) (variable by manufacturer)
Character position 10 is the year code
Character position 11 is the factory code (variable by manufacturer)
Character positions 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 are the vehicle identification sequence (VIS)

The year codes are:

For example, 9C6KM0060F0001990 has F in the tenth position, so is a 2015 model.
