Who knows Salisbury Plain?

I am not far away and really have to find out the best gravel roads on the plain i.e. West Berks and Wiltshire. I know 'redbikejohn' know this area, but sadly don't know my fellow ex SA'cn. Can anyone help with the best gravel roads suitable for a Tenere?

Normally that would be ace but I am in Colchester on Wednesday and then working in Scotland Thursday, returning home late evening on Friday. How about next weekend some time? :024:

Also I've done some checking and Imber Village is now closed to the public until August!

Jacques le Roux 16-05-15 23:02

Hi, yes sadly true, Imber is only open between 8 - 23 August. Looks like the only day (in May) I can possibly go that way is bank holiday 25th May. Following weekend I'm heading to Belgium. Or you could meet up at Harwell, next saturday (22nd) which is an English Civil War reenactment I'm doing, just down the road for you. I'd like to go see Tidworth and Chitterne and it seems most of the rideable bits are on the eastern side i.e. nearest to us.
