XT660.COM 10th Anniversary Party - Saturday 21st May 2016

Below text EDITED on 7th of November 2016

Dear forumites, please note, next year on the 9th of May this forum would be 10 years old!!

So what would be a better idea than to gather as many :660: knuckleheads and have a massive party at a very special venue?

The Venue has been finally agreed and this is the Deans Diner in Chatham Dockside, Medway, Kent, full details of the venue and address plus directions at this link: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=24848

As it is a 10th Anniversary, it is for us a very important achievement and I would love to see as many of you as possible attending from ALL over UK and why not maybe even our European friends! All are welcome.

Great idea. Count me in.

Jacques le Roux 15-05-15 08:52

Oh yes please. I'll be there

I'm in, great idea!, and the Ace is a biking legend, I often go there. Steve

I've never been. Sounds like the perfect excuse.

Count me in as well.

Pleiades 15-05-15 18:24

I've only just realised that we missed an excuse for a party last year? It was the tenth anniversary of the XT660 production (2004-2014).

Of course XT660.com's tenth anniversary is far more significant and worthy of celebration! ;)

Yup, count me in. Is there anywhere to stay down there. Too far to do and come home in a day. Anywhere with secure parking or perhaps a camp site within 50 or 60 miles?

Steve

Steve here are the closest B&B with secure parking,

But as for campsites... I had a good look for you from up here and... couldn't spot one, seems to me like a well built up area to be honest :D

Seriously I don't know of any near the Ace but here is a listing of the closest which are quite far away, best stick with the B&B's above

Great idea! Would like to participate. But maybe we have to fix the date quit soon:-). I have just checked with one the recommended accomodations on yell. And it says for the 13.05.16 to 16.05.16: No rooms available!!!
BTW. Captian the 9th May is a Monday. At least on the mainland :-) :-).

I'd probably opt to camp at the Lee Valley site, which is sort of at the bottom end of Epping Forest between Waltham Abbey and Walthamstow. It's only a short 15 mile ride westwards round the North Circular straight to the Ace. It's also easy to access of the M25, and particularly handy for anyone coming from the North down the A1/M11.

If there are enough interested in camping, I'm sure arrangements could be made early enough for a group booking?
