While we're on the subject of recalls...

After spending a bit of time looking into the current gearbox oil feed recall I stumbled upon another recall from Week 43 of 2014 relating to May 2014 build XTs which seems to have quietly slipped under the radar...
http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/safety/rapex/alerts/main/index.cfm?event=main.notification&search_term=A12/1717/14&exclude_search_term=0&search_year=2014 It was notified first in Spain, but it affected bikes sold in the Netherlands, Greece and France, yet I don't recall (no pun intended!) seeing, hearing or reading anything about it? |

Have Yamaha quality control all been sacked or what?
Great detective work again Mr Pleiades. If memory serves I believe your a teacher? If there where more like you around when I was at school then I probably would have paid more attention in class ! :Worship_9TRHEA: |

All the same, it is a bit weird. Even weirder is that nobody seems to have heard about it?? |

it was an over machining of the head, and it was in total 25 ish affected bikes. and they probably replaced many heads while they were in stock of the dealers.
