Hi from Burton on Trent
Hi guys,
My name is David and I live in Burton on Trent. I've been lurking for a month or so and have been reading through endless threads so I knew exactly what to look for when I was searching for a Tenere. I've been looking for a bike for a while, I eventually want to hang it on the rear of an adventure truck (Unimog) as my long term plan is to retire at 55(only a few more years, not that I'm counting :) ), sell up everything and just go travelling/living in my truck, hence the tenere is the ideal size. Well, all the reading has paid off and I picked up a real cracker today!!! A mint 2011 Blue model, with 4000 mls on the clock and a previous owner who must have been a member of the forum because its loaded with goodies. Single MTC exhaust and PCM V - DNA filter, Scottoiler, Pivotpeg footrests, Bar risers, ASV stubby levers, 12v Sockets, Heated grips, Barkbusters. However, there is a fly in the ointment - there are no rear footrests. I've bought a new set of SW Motech Trax Adventure Panniers and have fitted the frames this afternoon, but I can't complete without the footrests, so if anyone know where there are some for sale or a XTZ being broken for parts , please let me know. I'll post some photos when the weather clears up - its been miserable all day today. Looking forward to participating more in this fantastic forum now I've got my bike. Let the adventures begin.......... Best regards, David |

I didn't see the other but he might have it. Good luck with your travel plans. |
Thanks for the link - I looked on ebay but didn't see that one. I'll drop him a line to see if he's got the other one.
Thanks again. David |
Hello mate, welcome & enjoy. I hope you've been eating 3 shredded wheat for breakfast so you lift the Tenere into the back of the Unimog, there about 10 feet of the ground aren't they?
Good luck with the retirement plan.:028: |
:006: Welcome on board mate.
