Afternoon off, full tank of fuel...

I took off to Queensland's beef capital Rockhampton 120kms north via some dirt roads. The weather was in my favour. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04...54ec11fa36.jpg

After Rocky I headed off to Mount Morgan up the razorback route.

Mt Morgan was gold rush city back in its day.

The road back out the other side. This would be a great road for scraping pegs on a XTX.

Swimming not recommended.

The sun rounding of the ride.

This would suit a budding DIYer,

So did the bull have all its dangly bits in Rocky? It was always hit or miss depending on what drunken louts had got upto between our visits.
Mount Morgan brings back memories of running cross country and having the actual possibility of losing people down hidden old mine shafts.
Left QLD for WA in 1990 as a kid and would love to get back there on a bike.
Thanks for the memory trip.
Matt.

Very interesting, thanks.
Such a shame to see an Oz stately home in such a sorry state!

Cheers fella's, I'm not sure if the Bullock had all it's bits or not Macca? But it may well of lost them to the recent Cyclone Marcia that come through Yeppon, Rocky & down towards Biloila. It made a bit of a mess but most of the devestation is cleared up now. It skirted Gladstone by about 50 - 70km, so we just got gale force winds & heavy rain.

Marcia certainly left her mark on Biloela, Theodore and surrounds. Quite a few old friends from school still in Bilo and they were isolated there for some time.

Great pics.
