Hey 660'ers

I've been to see Gabe at Zen Overland recently, and he is very interested in producing poly-urethane cush drive rubbers in the UK for distribution world-wide.

After Hunday kinda dropped off the radar, I thought that this is the one thing all Tnr riders want.
Yes, there's farkling to be had, but this is definitely a prospect to be considered.

We're looking to you, the riders, to express your interest.
How much would you be willing to pay for something you don't have to change every 4,000 miles?

Gabe also needs a rear wheel for fitting and maybe a guinea pig for final testing.

Someone based in the south west of UK would be best, Zen Overland is based in Somerset.

Anyone who can get involved would win themselves a free set of PU rubbers, once they've been manufactured.

Hopefully, design to prototype should take about a month, so he's looking to move on this pretty quickly.

Any thoughts or interest can be left here.

Many thanks, all.

Steve.

I havent dropped off the Radar , I ve always been here !
All you had to do was send me an email.

I have now have had 1 x Xt660R ans 4 x XT660Z s , all with poly rubbers from new, and they still work well.
My first bike is stilll going with 90k on the clock And still has the poly rubbers I see, 76k on the polly rubbers and the bearing mod

Id like to order a set when theyre available at a reaonable price as mentioned. Me too try to contact Hunday, but never got an answer and thats a pity because I think hes got a good set to offer at a reasonable price. Any progress at Zen Overland?

I own a set of poly rubbers and they are worth every cent. They cost around 65 Euro incl. shipping to Europe. The rubbers have roughly 20000 km on it and no wear at all.

Just ordered some from eBay out of desperation. Got a massive shock when I wiggled my back wheel last weekend. And my bikes only done 8500 miles! But I suppose you get the soft ride and it spares the gears and drive chain. Very soft rubber on those cush drives.

Hi Hunday, I've sent you an email for the third time in the hope that you'd send me some Poly Cush-Drive 'rubbers'.

I bought mine from Andy Ross (Hunday Services) in the spring of 2014 and fitted them along with a new tire at 10.000km on the odometer. I replaced the tire again at 18000km and the cush drives was still fine but have only done ~4000km since.

Still highly recommended

The origianal you will need to replace each time you replace the rear tire ...
