I can't believe it. Just came back from my Yamaha dealer. Had my turn signals flashing continuously on starting the bike, and thought it was the built in diagnostics warning of an electrical fault. Checked all the fuses, and then gently drove to the dealers, who fixed it in half a minute!
Never knew bikes have a hazard switch! Oh the shame...

I once stripped down almost my whole NS400R because the engine stalled. Until my girlfriend asked if I didn't have to set the kill switch ON................

If I'd had a pound for every time I'd ridden off on a bike after forgetting to turn on the fuel tap only to stutter to a halt further down the road I'd be a very rich man. Still do it now again with the BSA - particularly embarrassing when your roaring off after a bike meet in front of onlookers. You would have thought I'd learned after thirty odd years riding! :eusa_doh:

Maybe I should fit longer fuel lines so at least I'd get round the corner and out of sight before it starts spluttering and coughing...

Not a good idea. How the heck did you keep the honda from wandering off. I'd have sleepless nights about keeping it safe

Dude, I stripped down the top-end of my FS1E 50 due to a breakdown, only to find out I needed to switch the fuel on!!!

Glad I'm not the only one that always expects the worst. That kill switch trick is also good for keeping your bike safe. Or even removing a fuse or a plug. Not many thieves would think of replacing those 2.

I had the same.
In the midst of winter I borrowed a set of those fixed to the bar mittens. I accidentally hit the hazard switch but thought it was the indicators. I rode for 500 yards trying to switch them off. I got about a mile from the house and gave up on the mit's and realised I knocked the hazard warning lights on. Forgot the bike even had them.
I also bought a set of heated gloves......worth every penny!
