Pleiades thanks for the explanation! Should exhaust wrap help in some way or isn't a good idea to use it?
Saludos,
Fernando

Exhaust wrap isn't going to cure the problem as such, but it may fix some of the symptoms (by insulating your leg from some of the heat). IMO wrap looks "cool" when it first goes on, but soon starts to look grotty and is difficult to remove if you change your mind, but if the heat really is annoying you, then by all means give it a go. You won't do any harm.

Not only the Tenere. My brother sold his 3 month old KTM 1190 because the seat got so hot that he couldn't do more than an hour, and the thin seat didn't help. Dealer had no answer. It is in South Africa though, so already hot to start with.

My Tenere is fine up to about the low 30s (degC). After that, the heat intensity on both legs increases with ambient temps. Mid 40s is just plain bad in the pain department. Just a design thing, but sure is uncomfortable.

Its the cat in the silencer, live with it or cut it out.Thats how the system works.:newspaper:

I have no cat and major heat issue. As 66T says...just a design thing. Unfortunately where I live it's warm or hot most of the year. Just biding my time til something better hits the market.
