Hello from Innsbruck!
Hey guys,
I'm new to the Forums and therefore I'd like to introduce myself. :) My name is Christoph, I'm 26 years old and from the beautiful city of Innsbruck in Tyrol, Austria. I'm currently attending the police academy and in my free time I like listening to music, meeting with friends, doing Krav Maga, watching TV etc. - and of course I love everything that's got an engine. :) I'm addicted to motorcycles since I was 18 and I used to own a XT 660 R some years ago. What a great bike she's been! Unfortunately I had to sell her 'cause I needed a car and couldn't afford both but I always knew that I'd be back on two wheels as soon as possible. :) So, some days ago I decided that it was time to finally do it and so I seized the opportunity and bought one awesome '08 XT 660 Z which was sold near me! And here she is, desert-colored and with about 42,000 miles on her odometer. :icon_salut: http://caelius.at/privat/tenere.jpg I'm looking forward to having some interesting discussions and chats with you all and I'm totally thrilled to own one XT 660 again. Woohoo! :D Cheers, Christoph |

Hi Christoph, keep in touch as I will be in Austria this summer.
Travelling round as much of Europe as I can! Would be nice to meet some other Tnr riders along the way. Cheers, Steve. |
Hello & enjoy mate. I'll also be in Austria in September, unfortunately in a hire car, from Prague to Vienna with the family. But I will keep an eye out for Tenere's.

Hey,
thanks everyone, happy to be here! :) @steveD: The previous owner moved it frontwards so "that it gets a bit more cooling when driving". Don't know if it makes too much sense, though. One question: It has been lowered by quite a bit - it's not exactly a huge problem but I'd like to restore the factory default. The original parts are to hand, but is that something I can do on my own without too much trouble? Or would it be better to let that be done by a professional? |
