Straight pipes, will it work?

I would like to try welding some straight pipes for my xtx, no silencer or anything just for fun.

Do i have to adjust the injection for it to even run? Has anyone tried?

Most people would probably hate me, yes.. But im sure someone would like it xD But ofcourse i would not use them too often... Anyways, its just an idea for now :)

I am curious how the engine would run without any adjustments, and what adjustments i would have to make if needed... :)

The only real way of knowing what is going on with the A/F ratio after your modification is to actually measure the A/F ratio on a Dyno or using a data logger with a wide band O2 sensor.

So have you made the pipes?

I was thinking of something similar, either buying link pipes or getting an old set of OEM exhausts and simply cutting the muffler off, thereby giving the XT660X a pair of GP style shorty's!!!:whip2:
