still got photo problems. ..sorry to be a pain!

Signed up to the 8 quid a month Dropbox storage for photos, did the camera upload of my recent Tenere pics. I write my post in the new thread section, click manage attachments, click choose file, go to Dropbox, click on the photo, a jpg file number shows in the forum box, I click upload, upload starts....then a notice from xt660.com pops up saying that I do not have the correct security token, contact administrator......it's a mystery! Would really appreciate your help. Thanks Steve

Well let me help you, as the administrator, first of all Dropbox is one of the hardest places to export photo into php forums, as it is window based and you copy / paste from folders to folder but not by web transfer via codes or links.

For that we have always recommended www.photobucket.com and recently Flickr is quite good too. See our post here http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=10380

And this is a shot from my Flickr account which has a self tutorial on how to export images

What did I tell you? Use Photobucket! ;)

If you've only got a phone and no PC, the Photobucket phone app works really well. As the skipper says, it creates all the links you'll ever need for use on forums. Standard version is free too!

Hi, I'm afraid it's me again re photos. ..using photo bucket or flicker or even Dropbox I can upload to the forum via Tapatalk, but still no joy direct to the forum. ..keeps telling me I'm not authorised to post attachments. ..I'm sure your bored with this but any ideas.?

Sorry to hear, look tapatalk is not something I am at all familiar with, but its best used for text and small posts, if you really want to use the forum to it's full extent, do it on a pc or mac.

Have you tried doing what I said before and ignoring the "tools" and just typing the image tags in your post with the URL of the hosted .jpg image (from Dropbox, Photobucket or wherever) in between them?

eg: [IMG]url_goes_here[/IMG]

Simple... theoretically! ;)
