nice, weather looks awesome

I had a great day, nice mix of road, dirt, & countless running creek crossings.
The ten is running great now with Kev's Fuel Mod, O2 Controller & Akropovic pipes with the baffles holes drilled out a bit bigger as Pleiades suggested.
I did get caught in a down pour for about 20kms but it helped wash the bugs off the screen/visor & some cow poo off the sump guard.
The Ten also makes a nice picnic table too.

:023: Great photos. Looks like you're really enjoying the 'single' life to the full.

Shame that such warm sunshine is all but a distant memory for us poor sods in the upper reaches of the northern hemisphere! :weathermanf4[1]:

Only went for a quick 30km loop around the district on Australia Day. My youngest son wanted a ride on the Z so I led the way on our faithful '94 DR650. He enjoyed the ride but he's only 26 & isn't over the "Harley" phase yet.
I'll have to organise an overnighter, once the weather becomes more mild, below the usual daily 37c temps out here, to show him the value of a dual purpose bike :happy11:

Desert Racer 30-01-15 10:26

Something's better the nothing Russ, & you got some quality time in with your son. And now he's ridden a Z, perhaps he'll get the bug for one?

madruss 31-01-15 08:45

Both my sons are showing some signs of interest in an "overnighter" once the 37c afternoons ease off.
I'm doing a bit of planning currently, for a run down through the Nandewar Ranges towards Barraba, Bundarra, then Guyra via the Baldersleigh road. Next day up the Moredun road via Ben Lommond, around Moredun lakes, Tingha then south west, skirting around Copeton Dam to Bingara & whatever gravel roads to lead us back west, to the Artesian Water country
.
Should put 600 or so k's of ADV riding under their belts

Hi Desert Racer, I would love some of that heat right now...+3 degrees here! Steve

Desert Racer 04-02-15 12:13

Heat is something there is plenty of here. I have the weather for Kent & Yorkshire on my phone for old times sake. I left the UK in 06' from working outside in -7 , to arrive in Oz at almost 30 degrees, then 4 weeks later got pnemonia, how's that work? I'll be back in blighty for a visit in autumn in Kent & near Ripon so will be keeping a keen eye out for XT's on my travels. I'll see if I can fit some sunshine in my suitcase for you.
