fast idling problem

My bike has developed a bit of fast idling problem. When idling after a bit if the run the bike is idling a bit fast say 3000rpm. Ive had a quick poke around as its dark and ive work in the morning. But I found the tps had shifted but ive readjusted that (had moved from 18 to 20 but reset to 17) and all cables and throttle are operating correctly. I also looked at the fast idle hoses and all secure and not kinked. Does anyone have any ideas of what I may have missed?

A vacuum leak anywhere between the throttle butterfly and the cylinder head can cause odd idling, not just in the fast idle pipework. Check all the hoses, including the inlet hose/pipe. Got a vacuum Scottoiler fitted? Check that too.

Only parts fitted is a pc5 and heated gribs. A minor point I've noticed is the fuel coupling off the tank is on the end of the join and not flush to the elbow. The battery has seemed a little weak lately despite regular chargers but would expect different problems if it was that. The problem occures with a warm engine

That corresponds to the sort of behaviour vacuum/air leaks cause. Definitely check the vacuum hose to the air intake pressure sensor. High idling on a warm engine is often caused by un-metered additional air being drawn in somewhere.

Ok hoses and joints have all been checked and theres nothing suspect there. Im thinking of checking the cables again just incase one is internally dry and catching.
