new E-Bay fuel pump...
Ok so the fuel pump in my XTR died...
Mr Yamaha wants $830NZ for the complete pump unit.. Anyway I got a pump off E-Bay for $30NZ.. Installed it in the pump unit... easy job as the unit just unclips & the pump pulls straight out...the new one drops straight in with out a issue... I pluged it in to the bike tuned the key on.... IT'S ALIVE... just need a couple of O-rings before I instal it back in the tank... so for like $30NZ shiped I will be buying a spare.. Only need the pump..All the other bits are there just to confuse yer...LOL ====> http://www.ebay.com/itm/221605950658...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT .. |
Good call............
Thanks for the heads up for sure..........can you please keep all of us posted as to whether it's a load of dung or not?
Hopefully it's OK and will give a big two fingers salute to the main stealers for ripping us all off, that is,if it all works out fine eh? :) If all works out OK then how the feck do Yamaha justify charging 800 more?...if not it's only a meagre 30 and ho hum Thanks again. :) . |
Good one Pete, hope it works out. Damn OEM racket - really bugs me what Yamaha charge for components but I had my rant about that last week...
I checked the ebay link and it says they don't ship to Australia... so if I ever need one I might have to use you as middle man :) |
Looks for for keeping a spare handy, will that fit a 2006 model?
