Snapped indicators

Hi guys

I have had me Ten for about 5 months and have managed to break all four indicators. They have all snapped at the rubber mount close to the body. Is this usual ?? The bike is garaged and loved, I blamed the kids to begin with but had it parked in the city the other day and 'snap' ??

Is this usual ??. Anyone else have a similar experience ???

See ha

Bob

Love the Ten !!!

Not heard of that one before, may be one or two but all 4, unusual.

I've had one snap after a hard dirt ride.
You sure you haven't upset anyone?

I've only had one go before and that was when a car drove into it. Funnily enough the same one went last week after becoming brittle I guess. It was fitted about 19 months ago. All the others are fine, and coming up to 6 years old. I guess you've pissed someone off.

Well,

If you had a Tiger 800 (which has exactly the same indicators and stalks) they fall off for no reason. Maybe you have a set from the same batch produced for Triumph ?

One of mine (on the Triumph) fell off overnight in the garage. One fell off while riding down the road, a smooth road at about 40mph. The third fell of in front of my eyes after moving the bike.

Triumph had a recall to replace them.

Ah Triumph. Makes a mechanic of any man.

Thankfully I only had the indicator problem.

And the really thin engine paint....

and a springam'jig thingy in the gearbox that they replaced before it failed.

And pannier locks that, well, didn't really need a key.

Nothing major, but I did get out before the warranty expired!
